Developmental Specialist

GRIT accepts resumes for the position of Developmental Specialist (DS) on an on-going basis. The role of a Developmental Specialist is to support the growth and learning of children with disabilities and their family in their home, community and school. Building on the child’s individual program plan, the DS implements fun and playful learning opportunities within natural routines in the family, playschool/community and kindergarten settings.

Positions are available in Edmonton and surrounding areas.

Hours: Monday to Friday, follows school hours and calendar. 
Paid Vacation: 3 weeks (2 weeks at Christmas and 1 week Spring Break)
Qualifications: Early Childhood Diploma, Disability Studies: Leadership and Community Diploma or a Therapy Assistant Diploma. Individuals with alternate education/experience and a positive attitude and a willingness to learn will be considered.  Child Welfare and Criminal Record checks are required.

A valid driver’s license and vehicle is required
