0.90 FTE Permanent Teacher Position

Getting Ready for Inclusion Today:
The GRIT Program is a dynamic family-centered early educational program. Funded through Alberta Education, GRIT serves families who have a preschool child with a developmental disability. Professionals utilize a consultation and coaching model within collaborative interdisciplinary teams. GRIT actively supports inclusion in family, community and school, and promotes public education in support of community
inclusion.

GRIT is known for its value-based practices, healthy and positive work environment, balancing career and family life. GRIT is committed to provide extensive opportunities for professionals to engage in ongoing professional development experiences.

Permanent Part time:30 hours per week. Starting mid-August 2012. Follows Edmonton Public School calendar. 10.5 month annual contract. Flexibility to work some evenings to support family engagement.

Vacation: School holidays, 2 weeks at Christmas and 1 week spring break

Vehicle: Required

Salary: Will be commensurate with experience.

Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Education (post-graduate diploma in Early Childhood an asset). Minimum 5 years teaching experience, early childhood preferred.
